I visit SM Megamall, one of the largest malls in the Philippines, where I try Chinese merienda fare at a timeless, casual restaurant called Luk Yuen. This is a perfect spot for a quick bite after an afternoon of shopping. Other notable Chinese joints are North Park, Lugang Cafe (Taiwanese), Causeway Bay, President's and Gloria Maris.

The chef’s challenge was to create a dish that fuses Filipino and Puerto Rican flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques. I was pleasantly surprised with what we came up with. I cooked Filipino-style homemade banana ketchup to pair with Damaris's sautéed beef in sofrito over avocado halves.

I visit the University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman for an entire afternoon to try amazing Filipino street food. I taste everything from burgers, dumplings, to grilled intestines!

Let me show you the best food and experiences in Hawaii! I took these from short trip to Honolulu last summer.
